PUB LEAGUE OFFICIAL RULES

A note about the Rules - Dear Leader is the ultimate authority on the rules & prizes, and the only person empowered with the ability to award points. His rulings are final, so no crying!

ALSO... THE MacKINNON CHALLENGE CUP SHALL NEVER BE AWARDED IN ABSENTIA - YOU MUST ATTEND THE FINAL PARTY, AND BE AVAILABLE AT PRESENTATION TIME, TO WIN. IN THE EVENT THE POINT LEADER IS NOT AVAILABLE AT PRESENTATION TIME, THE NEXT IN SEQUENCE SHALL BE AWARDED THE CUP & MONETARY PRIZES.

GENERAL RULES

Pub League has endless ways to have fun, and different ways to win. Pub Nighters compete in various events including DARTS (no bullseye req'd), POOL (flukes count), EUCHRE, TRIVIA, and random bonus games, all against randomly assigned challengers. Each Pub Night, there is a WINNER, a RUNNER-UP and a TRIVIA LEADER. Points are awarded, and at the end of the evening, the person with the most points is declared the WINNER. The person with the second-most points is the RUNNER-UP. The person who scored the highest in Trivia is the TRIVIA WINNER.

 

COST & PRIZES

At the beginning of the night, everyone throws in $10.

Nightly winner receives $80, runnerup $10, trivia winner, $10, Teeter Award for Those Who Try Everything and Come In Last - you're getting your entry fee back.

And the Grand prize, end of the year, $200 to the winner. Plus their name & photo immortilized forever on the MacKinnon Challenge Cup.

WINNING THE MacKINNON CHALLENGE CUP

At the end of the season, we add up your BEST 3 scores. The person with the highest total of their 3 scores gets a cash prize, and has their name and photo inscribed for all time on the prestigious MacKINNON CHALLENGE CUP.

Example: If you attended four Pub Nights, and had the following four scores: 40, 35, 41, 20 your score at the end of the season would be your best 3, hence 40+35+41 = 116.

Hence, you can miss a Pub Night here and there without consequence, except for the consequence that you just missed the greatest time of your life.

Remember, every point counts! In 2008, our champion won by a difference of ONE POINT!!

SPECIFIC RULES

DARTS - General game of Cricket, with a 14 substituted for bullseye. In the event of bullseye, bonus pts are awarded (2 for red, 1 for green, max 2 per game) and the player gets 1 or 2 wild card strokes, anywhere they want. Bonus 3 darts at end of each game, same format for bonus pts. Bullseye gets a free beer.

POOL - Standard stripes & solids game, with Ball In Hand for scratches (shoot from anywhere, NOT 'behind the line' garbage). Eight ball in off the break, wins. Flukes count, but you have to call the 8 ball.

EUCHRE - Standard game.

BOWLING - 10pin game, 3 games per evening. Keep track of strikes for bonus points.
